Please read this whole agreement before accessing Lone Star Policy Institute.  By accessing this site, you are agreeing to the following terms:

Introduction. Lone Star Policy Institute (“Lone Star Policy Institute,” “we” or “us”) means Lone Star Policy Institute and this here website.

Types of Content. As used in this Agreement “Content” means, collectively, the text, data, graphics, images, scripts, photos and video files, audio files, and all meta data made available through the site, and regardless of who created or uploaded the Content.  Unless modified, the term Content refers to all Content, including but not limited to:

“Lone Star Policy Institute Content” means the Content we upload to the site.

Ownership and Use of Content.   Lone Star Policy Institute, its advertisers and its licensors own all right, title and interest, including all worldwide intellectual property rights in: the site, the Content, the Services, the organization, compilation, look and feel of the site, advertisements appearing on or linked to from the site, trademarks, service marks and logos contained on the site and all other code, scripts, data and meta data appearing on, or incidental to the storage and display of the Content and the site, collectively referred to as “the Intellectual Property.”

You may access and use the Intellectual Property solely for your own personal use.  You may not transfer, assign, sublicense, relicense this right of access and use to anyone.  This right of access and use does not convey any ownership rights whatsoever, it is a license.

You may not remove, alter or conceal any copyright, trademark, service mark or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Intellectual Property.

You may not sell, publish, distribute, retransmit, modify, prepare derivative works based on, perform, display, broadcast, sell, license, provide others with access to the site or otherwise exploit the Site Content and the Content.

All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. Except as otherwise required by applicable law, any reproduction, distribution, modification, retransmission or publication of any copyrighted material is strictly prohibited without Lone Star Policy Institute’s express written consent.

Third Party Links and Links to Lone Star Policy Institute’s site. We may provide links to other Websites or resources over which Lone Star Policy Institute does not have control (“External Websites”). Such links do not constitute an endorsement by Lone Star Policy Institute of those External Websites. You acknowledge that Lone Star Policy Institute is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that Lone Star Policy Institute is not responsible for the content of such External Websites or any business dealings you may have with such External Websites. Your use of External Websites is subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies located on the linked External Websites.

Certain other Websites may link to this site. You may provide links to our site from your Website as long as you do not link to our site by any means that give visitors to your own Website the impression that you are linking to pages that are within your own Website, or that Lone Star Policy Institute endorses your Website, sponsors your Website, or is in any way affiliated with your Website. UNLESS OTHERWISE EXPLICITLY STATED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITES, THE SERVICES AND ANY INFORMATION OR MATERIAL CONTAINED ON THE SITES IS PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN “AS IS” AND “WHERE-IS” BASIS. NEITHER LONE STAR POLICY INSTITUTE NOR ANY OF ITS PARTNERS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS OR CONTENT PROVIDERS SHALL BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR MORE THAN AN AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Lone Star Policy Institute controls and operates this site from its headquarters in the State of Texas in the United States and makes no representation that the Content are appropriate or will be available for use in locations other than the United States. If you use this site from outside Texas or the United States, you are entirely responsible for compliance with applicable local laws, including but not limited to the export and import regulations of other countries in relation to the Content. These Terms of Service will be governed by Texas law and controlling United States federal law, without regard to the choice or conflicts of law provisions of any jurisdiction.  You may bring any disputes, actions, claims, or causes of action related to these Terms of Service or in connection with this site only in the federal and state courts located in Dallas County, Texas. If any provision of these Terms of Service is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, then such provision(s) shall be construed, as nearly as possible, to reflect the intentions of the parties, with all other provisions remaining in full force and effect.  The failure of Lone Star Policy Institute to enforce any right or provision in these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision unless acknowledged and agreed to by Lone Star Policy Institute in writing.

These Terms of Service comprise the entire agreement between you and Lone Star Policy Institute and supersede all prior or contemporaneous negotiations, discussions or agreements, if any, between the parties regarding the subject matter contained herein.  We may discontinue or change the Services, or their availability to you, at any time.  This Agreement is personal to you, which means that you may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement to anyone.  No third party is a beneficiary of this Agreement.
